When I was four years old,
my grandma taught me
how to bake.

This sparked an obsession with sweets that I’ve carried with me my entire life, particularly cake. It’s not so much that I enjoy eating cake, I enjoy the idea of it, the aesthetic and the ritual.

With this obsession, I began developing a body of work that celebrated cake consisting of bulbous enameled objects that resemble spun sugar and hard candy.

Through creating these pieces, I learned my love for stories around making and experiencing things presently. I love to build memories around objects or spaces and being able to evoke emotions through design, whether that means creating a brand experience or gathering around a birthday cake.
